Where It Ran

The Tivvy Bumper used to run on Devon branch lines: the Exe Valley Line, the Culm Valley Line and the Tiverton Connecting Line.

In 1936, the loco was deployed to Exeter Depot for use on the Exe Valley Line, which ran from Exeter to Dulverton by way of Tiverton.

When the Exe Valley was nearing its demise, the loco was moved to the Tiverton Connecting

Line, from Tiverton to Tiverton Junction which connected to the Culm Valley Line to Hemyock by way of Uffculme and Culmstock.

The lines closed in the mid 1960's. The loco was bought by Lord Amory and was kept initially at Blundells Road in Tiverton, until 1978, when it was moved to Tiverton Museum, where it remains today.
